It’s not just people anymore – Trump, you need to send it back now!
Americans are well aware of the fact that Mexico has been letting people flow across our border for years.
Until recently, they’ve done little to stop it.
But that’s only the beginning. There’s been another substance that’s been flowing into our country. For decades. It seems Mexico’s known about it, but yet again, they’ve done nothing.
In fact, Border Agents and local communities are being affected. And now they are finally speaking out.
From Washington Examiner:
Raw sewage teeming with toxic chemicals dumped in Mexico’s northern border city of Tijuana has been flowing for decades into the United States while local, state, and federal authorities in both countries have failed to prevent it…
Unrestrained run-offs of ugly green and brown liquids have caused both figurative and literal headaches for U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Tijuana River Valley, a stretch of land south of San Diego.
Wow. This is totally unacceptable. Literal raw sewage, teeming with toxic chemicals, has been flowing from Tijuana and getting into our water. This has been going on for decades.
The results of this are pretty obvious. Toxic waste in our water system can bring devastating health and environmental results.
In fact, Border Patrol agents are getting sick, reporting headaches. In the region of Imperial Beach, the stench is unbearable.
According to the report, even on sunny days with the water dried up, the smell of toxic waste is everywhere.
CBP conducted a six-month study of samples from the river. The water contained 710 times more arsenic, five times more lead, seven times more uranium, and 1135 times more hexavalent chromium than local tap water.
You read that right. Those numbers are off the charts. And you can’t pretend like there aren’t health consequences to this.
It’s outrageous that Mexico has been doing this, for over 20 years. They haven’t tried to clean up their waste disposal. Instead, they are fine with dumping their filth into our waters.
Quite a metaphor, isn’t it?
They didn’t even bother warning us, so we could at least try to clean it up.
How many Americans have gotten sick over this? How many Border agents will suffer health problems, down the road, from being exposed to this poison?
How many children, how many families, have been hurt by these high levels of arsenic and lead? We might be finding out years to come.
Will Mexico own up to this sickening reality? Will they do something to clean up this water—or pay damages to America?
Or should Trump do something to make it right?
SHARE to tell President Trump to make Mexico pay for what they’ve done!
